Trivia
Tax fraud is a big problem in Italy. That is why for many years now there has been a law in place that you have to get a receipt (if in doubt ask for one! The Italian word is “Scontrino”) for everything you buy, from an ice cream to a designer coat. You have to keep hold of it at least within a 100 m radius of the shop otherwise you run the risk of having to pay a fine if the finance police stop you!
