It is best to travel to Venezuela outside the rainy season, i.e. between December and April. Then you can enjoy the tropical climate. And even if it does rain there the temperatures are always pleasantly warm. Have fun diving, sailing, surfing and fishing!
The colours of the Venezuelan flag have an interesting meaning: yellow stands for the region’s wealth; blue stands for independence from Spain and for the sea; red represents the courage and the bloodshed in the war for independence. Since 2006 eight stars have adorned the flag to represent the country’s independence.
By the way: Venezuela means “small Venice” because the indigenous people’s stilt houses were reminiscent of Venice.
